Historically, there has been no ‘safe place’ where regulators, regulated firms and tech firms can consider solutions to these challenges and help to ensure that RegTech fulfils its potential to the industry and society. The RegTech Council is such a place and its model is based upon other similar industry bodies such as the EDM Council, and the JMLSG.
The RegTech Council is a not-for profit think-tank, which will provide a bridge between regulators, firms, academia and the wider financial and technology markets. It is an association with transparent formal structures and bylaws. We have formal committees and flexible working groups, supported by strong, technically enabled secretariat to meet members’ demands.
Established in May 2017, the Council now have over 100 institutions involved. RegTech Council is open to regulators, firms and services providers to become involved. JWG’s CEO, PJ Di Giammarino is one of the founders and is the current chair.
To connect all RegTech participants to define common approaches to regulatory compliance and delivering better outcomes for the industry as a whole
It is for Regulators, Senior Business & Compliance Executives and RegTech Providers who want a safe and transparent collaboration forum to help shape the future of RegTech
