With the new year on the horizon, and mounting pressure from our clients, JWG are gearing up for another MiFID II implementation training course. Given all the current talk about a potential delay, it would be easy to sit back and breathe a sigh of relief. However, that would be a big mistake. There is currently no confirmation of a postponement and, even in the event of an official announcement, there is still extensive work that needs to be done by firms in preparation for MiFID II.
On 19 January 2016, JWG will be holding another one-day course which aims to help put firms in control of the text of MiFID II and to resolve the question of ‘where do we go from here’?
This training offers participants an opportunity to engage with regulatory analysis, interact with dynamic source materials and open up a dialogue with other industry professionals on the issue of full and timely implementation.
After successfully running over 80 separate MiFID focused workshops since its incorporation, JWG are trusted by regulators, financial institutions and technology firms as the independent analysts to help determine how the right regulations can be implemented in the right way.
This insight and experience is backed up by RegDelta, an innovative regulatory data management platform, which contains the complete library of MiFID II documentation and all its interdependent regulations.
On the day, we will start with a wider contextual review of the position of MiFID under the G20 regulatory agenda before breaking down into a more concentrated dissection of subject areas, including trading obligations and venues, reporting and data management, investor protection and how to operationalise your implementation programme.
When this course was run earlier in year it had resoundingly positive feedback from everyone that attended, getting average scores of 4.6 out of 5 for the content, relevance and presentation.
