Rhiannon has been at the FCA for three years and is the manager of FCA’s Wholesale Cryptoasset Policy team, having set up the team in August 2022. The wholesale cryptoasset policy team is responsible for developing the those areas of the regulation of crypotoassets relating to: initial and ongoing disclosures, market abuse as well as trading, execution and settlement issues.
Previously, she was a Technical specialist on primary markets policy.
Prior to joining the FCA, Rhiannon spent 3 years at the Bank of England on Recovery and Resolution of both non-banks (CCPs and FMIs) and banks
She also has 8 years experience working in the European Parliament on markets related legislation such as the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive and Regulation (MiFID II), Market Abuse Regulation, Derivatives legislation (EMIR and CCP recovery and resolution), Settlement issues (CSDR) etc.
