At JWG we’re passionate about our people. Our core team of 17 is supported by a number of external analysts, developers and advisors to ensure we provide the very highest quality products and services.
Since 2009 we have supplemented our industry expertise with bright analysts eager to learn the world of regulatory reform. They have come from diverse array of backgrounds: from mathematics to history, economics and even biology. After passing our regulatory aptitude test, we put them to work sifting, synthesising and analysing the ‘so what’ of regulations. We are proud to have JWG alumni in top tier institutions and their regulators across the globe.
A pioneering entrepreneur with a global network of senior bankers, regulators and technologists, PJ Di Giammarino is a frequent author and international public speaker for the last two decades on the role of new technology within the financial services infrastructure.
He has over a decade of experience bringing together the industry’s leading technologists, policy makers and market leaders, to solve global challenges via collaborative working groups. PJ is currently the driving force for progressive change behind the MiFID Implementation Group and wide range of regtech forums.
For the past decade he has served as founder and CEO of JWG Group, a think-tank based in London which is recognised globally by regulators, financial institutions and technology firms. Having been based in Europe for 20 years and London for 15, his team of independent analysts help senior executives within public and private sectors, determine how regulations can be implemented in the right way.
He is an active member of the International Organisation for Standardization through the ISO UK committee for financial services, IST/12 and serves as the Secretary for the FinTech Technical Advisory Group.
Blythe runs the end-to-end commercial side of JWG and is driving JWG’s ascent up the RegTech mountain with the buy-side, sell-side, regulatory and vendor communities to deliver regulatory change in a smarter, safer and cheaper manner. Blythe has an extensive senior network throughout the largest FS firms and a practical knowledge of working with them, during six years of trading and another six years of experience in technology and operations benchmarking. He runs strategic partnerships to serve the global FS marketplace for regulatory change management solutions, including RegDelta, as well as leading many JWG special interest groups (SIGs). Prior work experience includes Director at Expand Research (subsidiary of the Boston Consulting Group), Managing Principal at Capco and Senior Trader at Schneider Trading Associates
Joe reunited with former A. T. Kearney colleague, PJ, to join JWG as their Commercial Director.
After graduating University, Joe joined Ford Motor Company and worked throughout Europe in several sales and marketing management roles before leaving to run a large £22m turnover Ford dealer in Ipswich. Before realising his ambition to build an automotive retail empire, he was head-hunted into management consulting, got bitten by the consulting bug and went on to establish a new strategic niche firm, Optima Consulting, before joining A. T. Kearney to set up and lead the European marketing practice. As a partner and VP in the firm, he managed multi-million global projects, won IP awards, published research papers, was regularly seen on TV, heard on radio and read in the press.
Dan received a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and History from the London School of Economics in 2012, focusing his studies around international political economy. He is currently researching the impact of MiFID II /MiFIR and other EU trading regulation on the global marketplace, writing articles for RegTechFS and modelling G20 regulatory reform.
As Head of Product and Client Services at JWG, Elliot is responsible for the continual growth and development of JWG’s award winning regulatory change management platform, RegDelta. He and his team specialise in the integration of RegDelta with JWG’s global client base, as well as working with firms and vendors to create RegTech solutions to address complex regulatory problems. He holds a Master’s degree in Global Media Communications from the University of Melbourne, Australia and joined JWG in 2013.
Since joining JWG, Aisha has focused on the implementation issues of MiFID II/MiFIR and runs JWG’s MiFID Implementation Group (MIG). As Deputy Head of Research, she is also responsible for managing and setting agendas for JWG’s RegTech Special Interest Groups (SIGs), which focus on how RegTech can help fulfil requirements for regulations covering trade surveillance, reporting, client management and data security. Prior to joining the company, Aisha received a Master’s in Economics from the University of Warwick where she also completed her Bachelors in Economics.
Will received a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Leicester in 2014, and a Master’s degree in Global Politics from Durham University the following year. He focused his studies around international political economy and tax regulation. Will joined JWG in 2015 and is primarily focusing on developing the company’s golden source regulatory data management platform, RegDelta. This involves tracking G20 regulatory reform and liaising with RegDelta clients.
Jasper works as part of the Client Services team at JWG, having joined with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics & French from the University of Birmingham. He is involved in the promotion and distribution of the think-tank’s main business lines, including JWG’s RegTech Special Interest Groups. Whilst also acting as a point of call for customer queries, he mainly focuses on the development of JWG’s award-winning regulatory change management platform, RegDelta.
Chris brings over 30 years of experience in several Tier 1 firms, spending most of his career with J.P. Morgan Chase Bank. He has an extensive network throughout the banking community in the UK and Europe. Chris has worked at a senior level in several firms in their operations groups. Chris also enjoyed an exceptionally successful period as head of a sales desk. He has spent several years as a banking consultant, bringing his wealth of experience to the table. Chris’ professional attitude and his ethos for customer care have enabled him to provide the best possible service to his customers throughout his career. He continually strives to provide a tailor-made service to his customers. Chris aims to always be the ‘first port of call’ for the products he delivers. Chris is very excited to continue his service with JWG.
Since joining JWG, Kara has been responsible for preparing for, and running, JWG’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs), especially Customer Data Management Group (CDMG). Now she specialises in the cross-analysis of transaction reporting obligations and trade surveillance requirements, which she puts to use in running the Reporting and Reference Data SIG (RRDS) and Trade Surveillance SIG (TSS). Additionally, Kara assists with research and preparation of MiFID II Implementation Group (MIG). Her role also includes tracking changes that occur on the regulatory horizon and using these to keep JWG’s members and followers up to date with the G20 reform agenda through features and news articles published on RegTechFS. Kara received her Bachelor of Laws degree from the School of Oriental and African Studies in 2016, where she focused on comparative and international law.
Since joining the company, Darshna has been responsible for ensuring the relevant regulatory bodies that are in scope for our clients are tracked so that any key documents are captured and uploaded to our RegDelta library. Her role also involves updating clients on new regulatory documents and writing articles on the latest financial regulatory news. Darshna received her Bachelor’s degree in Investment and Financial Risk Management from City University London in July 2016. During her degree, she learnt about how financial institutions measure and mitigate risk and brings this knowledge-base to her work at JWG.
Having received her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Italian from Oxford University, Letitia became interested in the financial sector and the regulations that govern it after completing her work experience within a trading firm. Since joining JWG, she has been researching MiFID, AIFMD, and HFT regulation which has contributed to RegTech articles and JWG’s social media presence. In addition to researching and writing articles on the latest in financial regulation, her role includes developing the platform ontology and tracking regulatory changes to ensure that RegDelta’s database is kept up to date.
Alex manages the IT infrastructure at JWG and is responsible for the support and development of RegDelta, JWG’s award winning regulatory change management platform. Alex joined JWG with 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure management. Having previously worked with award winning Architectural and Engineering Practices, he comes with specialist experience in IT project management and service delivery management of cloud hosted applications.
Kameron joined JWG as an IT Support/Web Developer after choosing to spend his industrial work placement with the firm. He is currently undertaking an undergraduate degree Digital Media Technology at Birmingham City University. With aspirations to pursue a career as a IT Support Engineer, Kameron has been managing and developing internal and external websites including the RegTech Capital Markets Conference 2017 site and ticketing system.
Haley joined JWG in early 2017, as a project manager. She brings with her over 10 years’ experience within the financial industry, through various roles within back-office, middle-office and business development. Qualified in lean six sigma methodology, Haley has a history of streamlining processes and procedures, thereupon travelling to Asia to provide first-hand training to both senior and junior employees. Haley’s role at JWG consists of managing day-to-day tasks and being a key contact for RegDelta clients.
Mohammed is part of a growing team of data analysts who continuously track and capture any relevant documents JWG clients need, which he uploads into the library of our regulatory change management platform, RegDelta. He also focuses on increasing the efficiency and reliability of the way data is handled at JWG. Mohammed completed his Master’s degree in Mathematical Finance from Queen Mary where he also completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
Trishan joined the research team as a data analyst in 2017. He conducts research and writes articles, as well as tracking data and tagging documents that have been uploaded on to our regulatory change management platform, RegDelta, in order for our clients to find the relevant regulations based on their requirements. Trishan completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at the University of Nottingham. He brings with him 4 years of experience from HSBC Bank Plc across their retail and commercial Sectors, in customer-driven back and middle-office roles.
Michael is an experienced leader who brings innovative thinking to drive sustainable change within a risk and regulatory environment. Michael has worked as a COO/Programme Manager with several organisations (including HSBC and Barclays), building the necessary operating capability to support elevated levels of both regulatory and business demands. This has been achieved by using his extensive consulting (previously worked with A T Kearney) and industry experience to develop novel approaches to the ‘usual frameworks’ to realise significant cost and quality benefits.
After a career of 17 years in commercial banking and investment management, and 7 years with management consultants, A.T. Kearney in a variety of sectors, Denise returned to the FS industry in 2006 to run the operational side of JWG. Her role encompasses everything from ensuring the fridge is stocked to invoicing clients and overseeing adherence to company standards. In a previous life, Denise studied Mechanical Engineering at Brunel University.
